Rumpole is de karakternaam van de hoofdpersonage uit de bekendste boeken van John Mortimer.

Volgens de auteur zelf is Rumpole voor de rechtbank wat Sherlock Holmes is voor de detectivewereld. Een constante factor, een onveranderlijke eenheid. Of zoals het in het engels is verwoord:

Deze site laat het werk van Mortimer zien, maar doet ook een poging de sfeer weer te geven rond de personage Rumpole.

Na het recente overlijden van John Mortimer (16 januari 2009) zal er zeker nog het e.e.a. aan literatuur verschijnen. Zodra er informatie beschikbaar is zullen wij die hier tonen.
